May 25th 2008 we left the Solent and heading down to Plymouth from where we set out on the Rally Portugal heading down to the Med on the Rally Portugal.
The rally finished in Lagos (Algarve, Portugal) and we sailed on to Spain, passed through the straights of Gibraltar and worked our way along the Costa del Sol up to Cartagena and then across to Ibiza and the Balearic Islands.
A few nights in Mallorca and Menorca followed before we made the passage across to Sicily, passing the southern tip of Sardinia.
We cruised along the south coast of Sicily to Syracusa and then made a passage across to Greece, arriving in Argostoli on the island of Cephalonia.
We spent the rest of the season in the Ionian, visiting old haunts and meeting up with old friends and finally laid Serafina up at Cleopatra Marina at Aktion, which is close to Preveza on the Greek mainland.
